This short film was created as part of Process Theatre’s response to the effect of COVID-19 on the sex work industry. It explores the situation of sex work during the pandemic, and how it is not uncommon for men to value their pleasure and sexual needs above the health of themselves and those near to them.

Media outlets were reporting the effect of the pandemic on street sex workers in a very detached way - it's an incredibly clinical type of coverage for a situation that’s so distressingly real for so many women, so the film uses quotes lifted from actual sex workers and pairs them with stark imagery to illustrate the emotional weight behind the words.

The film was inspired by the work of One25, a Bristol-based charity that reaches out to women trapped in - or vulnerable to - street sex work, supporting them to break free and build new lives away from violence, poverty and addiction.
